SOU is a transcontinental platform fostering artistic exchanges through research, residencies, exhibitions, and publications. In its first phase our work focuses on Southeast Asian, North and West African and European encounters, through a series of tailored residency programs in the attempt to ignite porous and borderless artistic conversations that result in potential projects and exhibition formats. 

We believe in shared knowledge and artistic autonomy, and the power of cross-regional collaboration to shape new artistic and cultural futures. In the long term, our work will expand into the Indian Subcontinent, Latin America, East Asia, and other regions not necessarily marked by border controls and restrictions.
